No taxation without representation

This was the big issue that lead to the Revolutionary War. The colonies were being bled dry by taxes imposed from Great Britain yet the colonies were not being represented in the decisions. Is it any different now?

In pole after pole the citizens of the United States are saying in majorities of 60%+ that they want the Federal Government to stay out of health care. Yet the Federal Government, to the tune of 60%, insists on being in the health care business which will mean increased taxation.

That means that 40%+ of the citizens of the United States are not being properly represented by their government. Instead they are being "dictated to." The last time this happened the following was the outcome.

"When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation."

Recognize it? Perhaps not, considering the dumbing down of America. It's the Declaration of Independence."
